BGS lead consortium to conduct environmental baseline monitoring for a potential shale gas site in the Vale of Pickering, North Yorkshire.
Scope of monitoring
Quality of groundwater and surface water, seismicity, atmospheric composition assessment, ground motion (subsidence and uplift).
Stakeholder engagement
An important part of the environmental baseline monitoring project is communicating with the local communities and other stakeholders who are supporting us in the areas we are investigating.
