Mineral planning factsheets
BGS has produced a series of mineral planning factsheets. Originally commissioned to support the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister's (now the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities) research project Industrial minerals: issues for planning report, the factsheets cover economically important minerals that are extracted in Britain. They are regularly updated and provide an overview of the supply of a specific mineral. They are primarily intended to inform the land-use planning process, but will be of much wider interest.
