BGS Mineral Statistics terms and conditions (IPR)

  1. The copyright of all materials derived from the BGS's work is vested in the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) and/or the authority that commissioned the work. You may adapt and use these tables for non-commercial academic and research purposes, however should you wish to use them for any commercial purpose or provide them to a third party, you need to satisfy yourself that you have permission from the original copyright owner (where NERC is providing tables with permission and is not the copyright holder) or seek NERC's permission where the copyright is held by NERC.   2. Your use of any materials supplied by the British Geological Survey (BGS) is at your own risk. Neither the BGS nor the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) gives any warranty, condition or representation as to the quality, accuracy or completeness of the information or its suitability for any use or purpose or that the use of any of the statistics will not infringe any Intellectual Property Rights or other rights of any third party. All implied conditions relating to the quality or suitability of the information, and all liabilities arising from the supply of the information (including any liability arising in negligence) are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.
  3. The tables are provided "as-is" on the understanding that they have been derived from data created using data capture standards and methodologies considered appropriate at the time of its creation. The data may not have been subjected to current BGS standards of scrutiny and approval. Neither the NERC nor its employees accept any liability in respect of loss, damage, injury or any other occurrence arising from the provision of, or derived from, the data.
  4. Data may be compiled from the disparate sources of information at BGS's disposal, including material donated to BGS by third parties, and may not originally have been subject to any verification or other quality control process.
  5. By use of the following acknowledgement it must be made clear to anyone viewing the tables that material has been contributed by BGS:
